Paid more, paid later
A simple exchange between a company and a freelance: an increased rate against a spread payment, aligned with the company's real revenue. Everything else follows from that.
Skills without an immediate cash outflow
You bring in developers, lawyers, designers or marketers today, and you pay them as your turnover comes in. Every month you pay out between 5 and 12.5 % of what you have collected to all your freelances, split in proportion to what each one is owed. No revenue this month, no payment this month: balances carry over.
An increased rate that pays for patience
You work at an increased daily rate, with a target of three times your usual rate. In return, you accept a spread payment that follows the company's revenue. Your balance can be consulted at any time, it is never written off, and the company cannot close its programme without having settled it.
The mechanism, in three stages
Work creates a balance
Every day worked at the increased rate feeds the freelance's balance, followed continuously by both parties.
Revenue comes in
The company devotes between 5 and 12.5 % of its turnover to settling balances. The rate is set in its contract; 12.5 % is the recommendation.
Distribution in proportion
The month's amount is split between the freelances in proportion to their balances. Whatever is not paid out carries over to the following month.
Who does what, where the money goes
Three actors, two flows, one rule: Pacto provides the system and the network, but never touches the funds. The company pays its freelances directly.
The company
The freelances
Pacto, in the middle but outside the money flow
The company pays Pacto an activation fee and then a royalty. The freelance pays a one time entry fee to the network. None of these flows mixes with the payouts: those go directly from the company to its freelances. Pacto never holds the funds and provides no payment service.
